Father Luiz Rebuffini was born in Italy, on January 31st, 1932. He became a priest in 1957 and in the same year he moved to Brazil and he started working in São Bento do Maranhão. Twenty years later, he decided to move to Fortaleza where it was consecrated the vocational training school Father João. Then, Piamarta, on Montese district, in 1971, on Aguanambi evermore, on Fatima district, the same philosophy of education: training and professional teaching. In the same year, he founded the Youth Musical Band Mrs. Luiza Távora which gained a world – wide reputation. Father Luiz Rebuffini is the founder of several units of the work and he is also a really active principal – president .
          Thanks to him, because there are about 7.000 children and teenagers who have been assisted today and about 1.000 of them who have been in a boarding school regime.

          An award in recognition of all his services in favor to the infant and youth from Ceará State, Father Luiz has won lots of  prizes in recognition. Among them, they are: Title of Honorable Citizen of Fortaleza City, Justiniano de Serpa medal and “Cuero Amico” medal which was an award in recognition from the city Breccias in Italy, devoted to the Italian Citizens who are outstanding on the social and education fielding through other countries. Finally, in 2001, the prize “Sereia de Ouro”: an award in recognition of his fine work in favor of the Cearenese Society.
