Once in three and three years, the Youth Educational Center Father João Piamarta organizes a trip abroad for the Musical Band Miss Luíza Távora.  Those trips have the purpose beside components effort and devotion to musical study, to spread Brazilian Popular Music, to provide to the students opportunities to live side by side with some foreign family system so that they could compare the positive and negative points about their family’s upbringing style. Since the students of the Band have attended vocation training courses which are offered by the Educational Center, those trips abroad will become a great opportunity to learn some about Agronomy and Cattle Raising, industrial, steelworks power plants, nuclear power plants. From September 5th to October 4th 2004, the Youth Musical Band Miss Luíza Távora undertook the 10th Cultural Excursion to Europe. At this time, 58 musicians presented themselves only in Italy where they had performed 41 concerts in several provinces across the country.
